The key words in his message are: "As long as you abide in Jesus Christ"

Abiding IN Christ is interpreted by some to include some curious practices.
Bill Clinton was a classic example of one of those who's interpretation appeared to be that he could do anything he wanted because he had confessed at some time that he was a follower of Christ.
That which he appears to have not recognized is that "Abiding in Jesus Christ" means turning your back on sin and doing your best to LIVE in the manner of Jesus Christ and as a public official, hiding in a closet and confessing "I have sinned" . . . "forgive me", does not "get er done".
The blood of Christ covers all who will put themselves under His blood, but if you live like someone straight out of the pit, then it is the pit which you serve and it is Hell which is the home you have selected.
