The Red Dawning.....
You sat as Queen of the Nations
So self-righteous, stiff-necked and proud
Now the blowback from your treachery
Leaves you too stunned to cry aloud.
Scattered by the winds of Change
And a Serpent to deceive.....
Paralyzed and overwhelmed
By the enemies you sought to appease.
Repeated warnings to Repent
Came to you for many moons
So why are you so dumbstruck
That you can't even lick your wounds?
The wailing of foreign merchants
Is not for your agony and pain
But for the blood-soaked money
Of all your ill-gotten gain.
Your enemies leave you naked and dazed
Too bad you let down your guard.....
Your purpose-driven offerings are
Strange fire before the Lord.
You beheld your own demons arising
Encroaching day after bloody day
But The Pale Horse will break YOUR spirit
And carry your vain imaginings away.
As you awaken from your slumber
And survey all you have lost
There is yet another Serpent.....
And it's too late to count the cost.
Oh, yes, the Bridegroom cometh.....
With a sharp sword and iron rod
To feed the fowls of heaven FIRST
At the supper of Almighty God.
